Taylor, better known as "Moose" Taylor when he was riding over the western tracks in the early nineties, died April 2, in Denver, from pneu-, monia. Taylor rode for Barney Schreiber. Burns and Waterhouse and Tom Williams in the days when racing flourished in California. At the time of his death Taylor was studying law. It is said he originally hailed from Versailles, Ky.
