j r -, " - - J ยป ". " * CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF J. Goodwin has arrived at I.oui ville from Hot Springs with a carload of horses. J. A. McPher- son brought five, including Lucky K., Broom Sweep. Mary Warren, Alhena and Merchant. Jockey John McCabe. who rode Old Boscbiid to victory in the Kentucky Derby of 1914, ami who is now attached to the stable of O. A. Bianchi at Churchill Downs, has applied for a jockey license ami will do the saddle work for the Bianchi stable this year. Henry J. Taylor, better known as "Moose" Taylor when he was riding over the western tracks in the early nineties, died April 2, in Denver, from pneu-, monia. Taylor rode for Barney Schreiber. Burns and Waterhouse and Tom Williams in the days when racing flourished in California. At the time of his death Taylor was studying law. It is said he originally hailed from Versailles, Ky.
