May 10. — The first yearling sale of the year in the east will lie held by the Powers-Hunter Company on June 13 at Durlands Riding Academy, where so many successful race horse auctions have taken plan in the last year or two. John E. Madden is the early bird among the breeders of thor- oiighbreds. He will offer twenty-six fashionably-bred colts and fillies by such sires as Trap Rock. Celt. Ballot, Disguise, Assagai, Hessian, Wrack and Sea King. On June 2." the Powers-Hunter Company will hold another notable sale of yearlings at Durlands for Senator J. Si. Camden, T. J. Clay and John 11. Morris.
