SUNFLASH II. PRACTICALLY GIFT HORSE New York, June 26. — From a 0 horse to a consistent winner in handicap races is quite a jump, but such has been the record of Sunflash II., the son of Sunbright — Napthalia, now racing at the metropolitan tracks. When G. H. Browne bid ten guineas for Sunflash II., at Newmarket, he did so in order to start the ball rolling, and with no idea that the horse would be knocked down to him. But no one seemed to want the colt, and he became the property of Mr. Browne. After bringing Sunflash II. to this country, Mr. Browne, considering him of little value as a racing machine, disposed of him at a price only a trifle greater than he paid for him. Sunflash II. finally became the pro| erty of Dave Leary and. under his management, he has become one of the leading members of the second division of handicap racers. ■»
