ALVORD ran well, set a fast pace and may have been short. WHIP-IMHiliWIU. finished fast and outgamed MELIORA through the last sixteenth. Won easily; second and third driv-inc. THE It ROOK quickly took an early lead, which he maintained throughout and won in a canter. SVOSSET juni| cd well, finished gamely and was easily second best. EARLY LIGHT fenced cleanly and displayed speed, but tired. REDDEST ran below the form of his last race. ROBERT OLIVER can do much better. Scratched— 29790 Bill Dudley, 142. QUESTIONNAIRE began well and, racing TOTO into defeat, finished fast and won going away. HIRRICANK raced somewhat green in the early running, but finished with a rush. TOTO showed high s|iccd in pacemaking and tired. OSGOOD was pinned in next to the rail through the early running and had little chance, his rider endeavoring to take him out and was cut off. FLITTERGOLD ran a good race, but suffered from slight interference at the eighth post while running fast. SUNFLASH II. ran a game race and had no mishaps. BONDAGE ran on the outside throughout and made a fast finish. DRASTIC set a fast pace, but tired in the final drive. Overweights — Drastic, 3% pounds; Decisive, 5; Iron Cross II., 4%; Night Wind, 1. RAR OF-PHOENIX finished with a rush. The winner, entered for .010. was bid up and sold to the Radium Stable for ,900.
