TRAINERS AT LATONIA TRACK GO SLOW SLOWPostponement Postponement of Meeting Until Next Week Causes Letup in Training Operations Cincinnati O October 17 With the opening of the Latpnia Jockey Clubs fall meeting deferred un ¬ til Thursday of next week there was a marked decrease of sharp training moves yesterday The track was faster than at any time since the arrival of the horses from Louisville ten days ago and it incomes more and more evident that the existing track records will be in danger when the meeting gets under way wayThe The fastest moves of the morning were by horses in the public stable trained by J C Milam J N Camdeus good old sprinter Solly demonstrated that he will be ready for what may be asked of him after his long rest by working a half mile in 48 with ease Solly was well nigh invincible during the early part of the present year but staled off during the spring meeting at Douglas Park and lias not been seen in public since The work watchers agree that he is coming back to the races this fall as good as ever everCol Col Taylor which Milam is training for Col E H Taylor Jr figured in a workout of a half mile in 47 This s eedy colt which has several good races to his credit in Kentucky this year is among the 111 eligibles to the 10010 Queen City Handicap in which event twoyearolds will be asked to go a mile at the Latonia track on Sat ¬ urday November 9 9Madras Madras a fast filly that Milam is training for former Senator Camdeii showed that she is not deficient in speed when she ran the same distance as her stablemate in 48 She too is eligible to the Queen City Handicap HandicapAlf Alf Holberg who formerly trained a division of this Wickliffe Stable has arrived at Latonia from New York with the platers Pullux and Starry Ban ¬ ner both of which have bwu showing winning form in the cast this year They are the property of R L Riclmrds for whom Holhorg jiiso has three yearlings in charge chargeJockey Jockey 1 Dreyer is now in attache of the 15 J Brannon stable
