A LONG PULL A STRONG PULL AND A PULL ALL ALLTOGETHER TOGETHER FOR THE FOURTH LIBERTY LIBERTYLOAN LOAN IS DEMANDED Secretary McAdoo has made it known that there will be no extension of the Liberty Loan subscription period after Saturday night It therefore develops upon every man who holds the honor of his country dear to gird up his loins and pitch in with his ener ¬ gies developed to the limit in the absolute determination that the fourth Liberty Loan shall be subscribed to the last cent called for Any lagging on the illusory ground that peace may be near is the extreme of folly Secretary McAdoo has announced that a fifth and a sixth loan will be necessary regardless of the outcome of any possible peace proposals That makes it all the more necessary that the present loan should be so entirely subscribed as to be a credit to our land and a comfort to our brave boys over the seas In view of the boundless wealth of the United States it is unthinkable shame should be brought to them through misguided supineness at home Secretary of State Lansing presents the case in these graphic terms termsOur Our men in France are driving forward Our government is redoubling its effort to send men and munitions overseas The battles are going well but they must go better The war is not over This is no time to slacken effort or to fail to do our part here at home To keep up and to increase the pressure on the retreating Germans is the only certain way to win To do this the government must have all the money it needs We are asked to loan it and we are asked to loan it now nowThe The fourth Liberty Loan will put new armies in France it will supply our men with munitions it will destroy every hope of the imperial German government its troops and its followers it will make victory sure sureGermany Germany is bending More pressure and she will break Every man counts every gun counts and every dollar counts more today than ever before The govern ¬ ment must have the money it needs Loan it to your country Do your part to win the war
