FITZ GRAFTON TO STAND IN KENTUCKY Irving H Wheatcroft Buys Famous Australian Stal ¬ lion and Race Horse for His St James Stud StudBaltimore Baltimore Md October 31 Irving H Wheat croft who is heavily interested in the thoroughbred vas a visitor at Laurel Wednesday He came north to arrange with E W Moore to look after the stal ¬ lion Fitz Grafton which was due to arrive from England this afternoon Fitz Grafton is 17 years old and by Grafton Olive Branch During Fitz traftons racing career he won eighteen races of over 100000 in value He was bred in Australia and after winning several races in that country was shipped to England and raced He was sent from England to India to run in the Viceroys Cup a 40000 sfcike which he won and was then returned to England only to be shipped back to India the following year to again start in the Viceroys Cup vhich he again won after picking up a tenpound penalty Fitz Grafton has the reputation of being one of the handsomest horses in England and was never beaten in the show ring in that country He will be quartered at Pimlico until he js shipped to his owners farm the St James Stud in Kentucky In the consignment of sixty which arrive on the same ship were drafts for August Belmont Clar ¬ ence Mackay J E Widener and Edward R Brad j
