LATONIA MEETING STILL DELAYED Kentucky State Board of Health at Meeting of f Wednesday Declines to lift Flu Ban Cincinnati O October 31 After consulting yes ¬ terday with the members of the Kentucky Stnti Racing Commission which met at Lexington to 1 consider tlie situation growing out of tiie repeated 1 postponement of tlie opening of the Latonia fall race jneeting and hearing from President Harvey Meyers who attended the meeting of the Kentucky Stat Hoard of Health at Louisville General Mnnape Tolin Hachmeister of tlie Latonia Jockey Club ex ¬ pressed himself as much encouraged over the pros ¬ pects for beginning the racing at Latonia in UK near future futureMr Mr Uachmeister let it be known that tiiere is nn 1 thought of abandoning the plan for conducting the meeting as soon as the restrictions imposed by the health authorities are removed or modified From 1 the time the ban was imposed he has taken a stand 1 in perfect harmony with the health authorities and has not at any time asked for any relief incom ¬ patible with the protection of tlie public health Tliis will continue to be his attitude until the ban is lifted liftedIt It has been intimated that tlie restrictions which liare prevented the oiieniiig of the Latonia meeting may lie modified next week The moment they are lifted Manager Hachmeister proposes to proceed with 1 the racing and the horsemen at the track will be advised tomorrow to keep their horses riRht on edre so that the meeting can be opened at the shortest notice Louisville Ky October 31 Another delay in the opening of the La ton in race meeting will result from action taken by the State Board of Health yesterday when after an exhaustive hearing tlie board declined to lift the ban on public gatherings in the state on account of the prevalence of in ¬ fluenza
