SPORTING TREATMENT OF FARMERS ELMIRA N Y December 11 Groups of gun and sporting club officials in New York State are sending out pamphlets with tin following advice about the treatment of farmers aiid landowners in shooting territory territoryDont Dont leave his bars down or gates open Dont openDont cut his fences but crawl through over or under them themDont Dont cross his newly planted fields fieldsDont Dont hunt on his posted grqund without first securing his permission Usually he will gladly give it itDont Dont shoot his chickens dog or cattle cattleDont Dont build aiiy fires and go away leaving them burning Put them out outDont Dont get into any arguments with the farmer He Is a good fellow and without his good will there can be no hunting huntingDont Dont let your dog run loose in game breeding season or when season is closed closedDont Dont shoot game out of season seasonDont Dont gameDont take more than your limit of game Dont carry your gun with the safe off
