The latter, much the. best, lost much ground by running out on the stretch turn and finished with a rush. AIRNAT was well up all the way and held on well in the stretch. ANTOINETTE came with a rush in the last eighth and overhauled SYLVANO with ease. SYLVANO set the early pace, but began tiring badly in the last quarter. FAIR AND SQUARE ran a good race. TOOMBEOLA and MANICURIST tired badly after going the first quarter. .
