TWO FINE BROOD MARES 0FTHE FUTURE Two richly bred fillies were shipped from England shortly before Christmas to either this country or Canada, London Sportsman saying it the matter: "A two-year-old filly by Folytueliis Lady Quex and a two-year-old filly by Prince Pal-itiue Forest Lassie left Newmarket yesterday for Tilbury Docks for shipment to America." Roth of jtliese fillies were bred by Sir It. W. R. .Tardiiie. The Lady Quex filly has never raced, but the Forest Lassie filly was started in the First Sprint; Vwo-Year-Old Stakes at Newmarket April 30 and the Bedford Stakes at the same track May 10. She was unplaced in both, but it is a fair infe;enee she was well thought of .or she would i not have been started against such cracks as Monte Faro, Rizzio, Iron Hand, Polygnotus, Pouihoire and other winners. The present "ownership o the pair lias not been disclosed, but no doubt wal be presently.
