JOCKEY STOKES GOOD RIDING IN SPAIN The well-known Jockey It. Stokes returned to England on Wednesday front Spain and France, where he has fulfilled engagements for the last thre years. In 1917 he established a new record for San Sebastian by riding all five winners on the first day and a sixth in the first race on the following afternoon. On occasion he rode for the King of Spain, but during the last three years the first call oil his- services was held by J. D. Colin fiid Lord Miehelham, for the former of whom he will continue to ride first Jockey till the end of 10-1, the Comte de Castebajac having the second claim. Reggie Stokes, it may be added, headed the list of winning Jockeys in Spain last year, mid during the last three years he has won about ninety races, London Sportsman.
