J L PAUL TRAINING A PUBLIC STABLE LOriSVILLH Ky March 24J L Paul who formerly raced horses in his own interest is now training a public stable at Churchill Downs and lias under his care a stable of twelve horses princi ¬ pally twoyearolds Among the number is Truant and imported colt by Day Comet Pure Lily that has been entered In the Kentucky Derby in the in ¬ terest of Nat Dortch of this city Paul is also handling the fiveyearold Kilkenny for George Senn SennJockey Jockey W Lilley who rode Star Hawk when that hoise finished second to George Smith in the Kentucky Derby is keeping down to weight bv galloping the horses being trained by Paul and will take out a license to ride ia Kentucky this spring
