TO DEVOTE ENTIRE TIME TO BREEDING Thomas Murphy Disposes of Stabls and Will Secure Permanent Location for a Stud LOUISVILLE Ky March 24 Thomas M Murphy announces that he has disposed of bis livery anil sale stable which he has maintained in this city for many years owing to the poor condition of his health He has not yet recovered from injuries he received in a street car accident about a year ago In future he will devote his time to his breeding business which has grown considerably in the last few years Mr Murphy has not had a permanent place for his stallions and mares since he disposed of Waldeck Stud to C Bruce Head At present his stock is at the Douglas Farm near Middletown until he can find a place where he can locate a permanent home for the horses The Murphy breeding establishment at present comprises the stallions Boots and Saddle Golden Maxim and twentysix mares This year he expects to have fifteen colts by Boots and Saddle and twelve by Golden Maxim A few days ago Gold of Opliir one of his mares died shortly after foaling a colt by Golden Maxim The youngster is still living and is just as healthy as any other colt on the farm Gold of Ophir was by Ben Brush and prior to her retirement from racing won a number of purses in the colors of the late L P Doerhoerfer of this city cityMr Mr Murphy has quite a number of horses of his own breeding in training at Churchill Downs in the care of Joe Uinensettcr and these will be cam ¬ paigned on the Kentucky tracks The list embraces Old Miss and Goldstone and the following twoyear olds oldsBig Big Boots b c by Boots and Saddle Gold of Opliir Bread Man b c by Golden Maxim Evelyn Doris DorisBright Bright Gold b f by Golden Maxim Brightstone BrightstoneGolden Golden Dawn b f by Golden Maxim Green Dawn DawnGoldine Goldine b f by Golden Maxim Mary Uodine UodineLittle Little Boots ch f by Boots and Saddle Little Nell NellMove Move On br f bv Golden Maxim Guion GuionSaddle Saddle Ring ch c by Boots and Saddle AVishiug Ring RingThere There are two other youngsters one bolus by Golden Maxim Diamonds and Rubies and one by Boots and Saddle Yankee Tree It is worthy of note that Saddle Rings dam is Wishing Ring the mare tiiat paid her few backers odds of over 900 to 1 at Latonia a few years ago agoIn In addition to handling the Murphy horses Joe Umensetter has a pretty shifty stable of his own Included in the band are 7 1 Murdock anil Ollie S both winners last year There are also some fini looking twoyearolds among the number be ¬ ing ingSum Sum Freedman b c by Patauil Femesoli FemesoliHarry Harry Glover b c by Golden Maxim Little Nell NellRuby Ruby b f by Golden Jlaxini KiVa KiVaLittle Little Pancliita eh f by Golden Maxliii Lady Panchita and a filly by Rockvicw that has been named Aain Chick
