CERTAIN TO REAPPOINT JUDGE PRICE New Kentucky Regime Said to Favor Retaining Noted Official Other Louisville Gossip LOUISVILLE Ivy Anril 11 Friends of judge CuarleKF Pri have ben appritsea by Uiatfof ficial of his intention to return to bis home in Louisville at an early date He has been spending the winter at Naples Fla and is in the enjoyment of ex ¬ cellent health Judge Price has served with dis ¬ tinction as presiding steward at Churchill Downs Doughis Park and Latonia for many years and his reappointment under the new regime is said by his close certaintyTrainer friends to be a certainty Trainer Ham Keene has abandoned all hope of getting the Waldeck Stables good longdistance nicer Moscowa to the races this spring and yetser day he announced that the horse would be on the shelf until the fall season Moscowa was one of the horses that the stable sent to New Orleans last fall but he received an injury to one of his fore ankles shortly after landing at the Fair Grounds and in consequence was not started in a race His trainer was preparing to point him for the Martin Behrman Handicap of two miles which was decided toward the close of the Fair Grounds meeting and was much disappointed when he was forced to fore ¬ go his Intention IntentionT T L Pierce manager of the breeding and racing interests of F J Kelley of Chicago left today to confer witli his employer regarding some important details connected with the stables future racing plans Mr Kelley is negotiating for the purchase of a place near Lexington where he can embark in the breeding business on a more extensive scale Dr scaleDr Lewis Ryans who served as track physician at Churchill Downs Douglas Park and Latonia last year is unofficially said to be slated for re appointment It is also understood he will serve in a similar capacity at Lexington Dr Ryans is a wellknown Louisville physician and represented one of this citys districts in the state legislature for a number of years yearsTwentyone Twentyone stalls at Churchill Downs are being prepared for the horses f J W McClelland which are due to reach here Sunday or Monday from Hot Springs Among the stables horses are Eternal and The Wanderer WandererThe The stable of Willis Sharpe Kilmer in charge of Henry McDaniel and numbering ten head is ex ¬ pected to arrive alxiut the same time Early Wright is also due here shortly from the same track with twelve horses belonging to the Nevada Stock Farm
