WALDECK STABLE AT THE DOWNS Division that Raced at Hot Springs United with String at Louisville Track To Race at Lexington LOUISVILLE Ky April 11 The horses com ¬ prising the division of the Waldeck Stable that Ham Keene campaigned at Hot Springs arrived yes ¬ terday from Onklawn track in good condition and have been combined with the ones that have lx en at Churchill Downs for some time bringing the united strength of the stable up to twentytwo head The new arrivals include Salute Cracow Gourmand Brookland Cocotte and the twovear olds Inquiry Hidden Crown and Double Van The latter won a purse at Hot Springs and paid his backers 30 to 1 Jockey 0 Willis who has been riding for 7 O O H Keene for a number of years Is not now connected with the stable His contract was recently sold to Ed Trotter TrotterTrainer Trainer Ham Keene found the stables horses that have been at the local track for some time to be in splendid condition and far advanced in their training Among the number upon whose appear ¬ ance he commented favorably were Moseowa Basil ius and Brimful the last named being the stables candidate for the Kentucky and Ashland Oaks The twoyearolds have also improved wonderfully notably Lui Menu a brown colt by Luke McLuke Micaela and considered the star of the collection Tliis youngster has been named for the Bashford Manor and other twoyearold events Deputy Vest a chestnut colt by Jim Gaffney Whats Left is another youngster that the stable regards good enough to name in the various juvenile stakes this spring springTrainer Trainer Keene is now in active charge of the entire stable and is already busy arranging his plans for the forthcoming racing season He is planning to take about a dozen of the fittest horses to Lex ¬ ington and will arrange to have them transferred to that track some day next week
