SPRECKELS STABLE AT LOUISVILLE LOtISVILLE Ky April 12 The stable of A B SpreckelK the California breeder and owner in charge of C W Carroll is the latest prominent racing establishment to reacii Churchill Downs tin eleven horses comprising the stable having ar ¬ rived yesterday from New Orleans Trainer Carroll reported upon his arrival there were few horses left at the Fair Grounds track when he left there last Tuesday He had intended getting away a mouth earlier than he did but was forced to defer shipment of the horses owing to the fact that most of them were coughing They are now en ¬ tirely recovered and in a short time will be fit and ready for the forthcoming racing season in Kentucky KentuckyAll All the horses are twoyearolds and are the product of the Spreckels Napa Stock Farm in Cali ¬ fornia The list embraces Metem Riinnan Ziziz Runnyven Rarar Tomot Alula Soscol Aurina and Grove A A number of them raced with distinction at the Fair Grounds meeting notably Runnan Metem and iziz Trainer Carroll intends taking the better ones to Lexington Jack Metcalf the stable jockey who is now riding at Bowie will return to Kentucky to ride at the Lexincton meet insl
