LIVE TURF GOSSIP FROM LOUISVILLE LOUISVILLE Ky April 12 Yesterday witnessed the arrival in Louisville of a large number of racing folk from Havana the great majority being track officials and pariinutuel employes Among the number were John D Molter Mike Quinn Lucien Hoffman George Barrett Tom Shelley Al Wein berg and Morris Colin ColinIn In order to relieve the pressure of the heavy automobile traffic during the Churchill Downs meet ¬ ing the management is going to construct a new gateway at Central avenue and Eighth street for the exclusive use of automobiles The new entrance will meetingTom he ready for the opening day of the meeting Tom Young sui erintcndent at Churchill Downs announced yesterday that all of the stalls at that track had been reserved and that those horsemen who have not made reservations will have to be satisfied with stabling room at Douglas Park The latter track is rapidly filling up with horses but Mr Young believes he will be able to find accommo ¬ dations for all of the horses that come this way J wayJ C Gallaher came over from Lexington yester ¬ day for the purpose of arranging for stabling room at Douglas Park for fifteen horses he will ship here at the conclusion of the Lexington meeting He reported that all of his horses with the exception of a number of twoyearolds were in the best of condition
