COLD STOPS NEW YORK TRAINING TRAININGRowes Rowes Plans for the Whitney Derby Horses Pilzzling His Friends FriendsNEW NEW YORK N Y April 25 A decided change in the weather the thermometer falling to near the freezing point on Long Island kept trainers and Jwrses ill their beds on the local tracks today The change was exceedingly sudden and unexpected Health of the horses was more important than training consequently nothing was done excepting shed exercise under blankets blanketsJames James Rown left Brookdale yesterday for Pim lico with Vindcx and Borrqw No one seems to knpv what his plans are concesriing racing in Kentucky He is always Decretive on such matters until he has fujly made up his mind much depending upon the material he has to race His taking Vindex to PJmlico would seem to indicate that horse will be his Ireakness candidate and he may be reserving Blue Laddie for the Derby That is the impression among his friends here Larry hereLarry CaYoy who has charge of the horses be loiujihg to the Beverwyck Stable arrived from Hot Springs today in advance of the horses which he oxjHMits will reach Aqueduct tomorrow tomorrowWe We are in good condition for the opening of the New York season and I expect to start Old Koenig in HandicapIn the Paiimonok Handicap In speaking of Eternal for the Kentucky Derby Carey said the horse had done everything asked of him but sohlehdw he thought Billy Kelly was the better horse Eternal is fit to run for a mans life concluded Larry but I feel he will be beaten by some other horse He is practically on edge now and the race three weeks away He is a mighty fine horse but he is meeting a fine horse in Billy Kelly
