TRIPLE WIN FOR J. K. L. ROSS STABLE Billy Kelly, Cudgel and His Choice Score for Canadian Turfman Two Track Records Broken. HAVRE DE GRACE, Md., September 27. Commander J. K. L. Ross powerful stable was again in tlie limelight at Havre de Grace this afternoon, the Canadian turfmans horses scoring in three of the races, two of which were feature events. In the Susquehanna Handicap Billy Kelly beat Bill Mc-Cloy iu a driving finish, and in the Havre de Grace Handicap Cudgel came from last place to beat Exterminator in a sinew-straining drive. Both horses established new track records, Billy Kelly running three-quarters of a mile in l:llVi, while Cudgel ran a mile and one-eighth in 1:50. His Choice was the other Ross Winner. Sophia Gatewood easily accounted for the initial dash, while Crest Hill proved a big disappointment in the steeplechase, the winner turning up in Bob Redfield. His Choice was tlie first of the Ross horses to win, beating Martha Luckett in a hard drive in the third race. Irish Kiss accounted for the sixth race, in which the favorite. Broom Peddler, ran unplaced, and Indolence had an easy time in the mile and a quarter race that wound up the afternoons sport. The body of jockey Phil Musgrave left Havre de , Grace this afternoon, and the interment will be at his old home iu Mount Vernon. Indiana. The flags on the grandstand were at half-mast in respect to the memory of the rider. The report that jockey Schuttinger had suffered a broken leg proved erroneous. He was badly shaken up, but escaped without ; any broken bones. Several owners racing here have made application i to C. J.
