Won easily; second and third driving. LONELY, after near pursuit of the leaders in the early running, came to the outside in the stretch and raced into an easy lead in the final eighth. FLIBBERTYGIBBET, away in a tangle and forced extremely wide on all the turns, finished fast and gamely under punishment. COCK O THE ROOST set a fast early pace, but gave way when challenged. INDISCRETION was a forward contender throughput and was in close quarters in the closing strides. MUMBO JUMBO, a rapid beginner, drew clear at the start and, responding gamely when challenged, held "TOMMYWAAC safe in the linal drive. The latter raced next to the inner rail all the way and finished resolutely. SUNROSE tired after following the leader closely in the early running. APPLE-TON WISKE had no mishaps. RESIST ran well and was forced extremely wide for the first half. URANIUM bled and was pulled up. SYCAMOOR raced into the lead, but quit in the last quarter. INDISORET closed a big gap. .
