THE REAL NAME OF LINFIRMIER A group of colored stable hands stood at the paddock gate, at Empire City track last Friday and cngerly waited for. the start of the third race. The boys had wagered all they, had on it horse named LInfirmier, at 20 to 1. The horse was ridden by Jockey Mountain, who got him away flying and made the running up the backstrctch. also around till far turn. "Oh, you Infirmary!" shouted the Negroes, snapping their fingers. "Come on, Massa Mountain! Ride him, boy! We gets all the dough!" But when LInfirmier died away to nothing in thu homestretch the shouting ended, and as one of the. dusky rooters walked away sadly, he murmured: "Pat hOss Is Well named!"
