"BILL TATEM," THE ENGLISH TURFMAN Grand Parades owner. Lord Glanely, who is 51 years of age. became a peer fifteen months ago he was then Sir William Tatcm. He began work as a shipping clerk, and became a millionaire. The turf still knows him best as Bill Tatem. His first commercial venture was to buy an old tramp steamer, and recently, as the sole director of the Tatem Steam Navigation Co., Limited, he effected a 5,000,000 shipping deal. He has given vast sums of money to charity and for educational purposes.
