FIFI II. was well up in the early running and passed into the lead just before reaching the stretch, but had to be ridden hard in the last sixteenth to outstay KIKU. The latter began" slowly and raced wide all the way, but would have won in another stride. MARCHESA II. set a fast early pace and tired in the last sixteenth.
