; 1 CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF AV. C. AAeant has nineteen horses in his stable at Havana. Writing after Sir Bartons last race at Pimlico. a good Judge in a letter to the editor says: "Sir Barton is a real horse. You should have seen him hold the sprinters and then open up two lengths on them quick when asked at linilico." Mr. Samuel 1. Riddle, Man o AAars owner, is no newcomer to the turf. He had been seeking racing champion for nearly forty years before he found the great Fair Play colt, and before; he was eighteen years old rode races against that veteran at the game, Howard Lewis. Jockeys Hamilton and A. Johnson will spend Christmas with their relatives at their homes in Dallas and Spokane respectively, and will then report at Wikiup Ranch in California to gallop the Friar Rock yearlings and other horses in training there, the properly of their contract employer, J.
