FLITTERGOLD RETIRED TO HINATA STUD Joseph L. Murphy of Philadelphia has sold that useful race horse Flittergold to P. T. Chinn and he is now at Hinata Stud in Kentucky, where he will begin his stud career next spring. Flittergold is an eight-year-old son of Hastings Fairy Gold and was bred at Major August Belmonts Nursery Stud. He is a brother of Fair Play, the noted stallion recently sold to G. A. Cochran for 00,000, and also a half-brother to Friar Rock, for which John E. Madden paid 30,000. Flittergold began his racing career in 1913 and won seven races out of eighteen starts as a two-year-old.
