"CHIEF" JOHNSON MEETS WITH INJURY LEXINGTON, Ky., December 20. "Chief" Johnson, for many years jockey and exercise man. was severely injured at the Kentucky Jockey Club track this morning and is now in a local hospital. lit? was leading a horse for walking exercise under the shed at J. S. Hawkins stable. A pigeon flew under the shed and frightened tin? horse, which knocked down and ran over Johnson. His physician says hi? will recover. Golden Fancies, dam of Margaret O., owned by John II. Morris and J. J. McGeogh. and in foal to Escoba. died recently at Bostpie Bouitu Stud. Trainer T. L. Pierce left here this afternoon for Chicago on a business mission.
