BONNIE MARTS BRILLIANT RACING GAVE CRACK COLTS WEIGHT AND A BEATING IN STAKE RACES ANDWAS THE CHIEF MONEY WINNER OF THE P. A. CLARK STABLE P. A. Clark enjoyed the possession of n right good filly in Bonnie Mary this year. This fleet daughter of ntimus made her debut by winning the Fashion Stakes at Belmont Park, May 2S, for which Cinderella was a ! to 10 favorite. She carried 10J pounds and ran the straight tlve-eighths in 59jf.. This slit? followed up two days later by a more important performance when, taking up -122 pounds, slit: math? short work -of winning the long-established Juvenile Stakes. She won by five lengths in 59 witli such crack colts as On Watch second and Upset third. Thirteen others, Cinderella included, ran unplaced. Then Toujours, carrying 101 pounds to her 117, nosed her out in the Itosedalc Stakes, at Jamaica, tivc-eighths iij 1:00. Hut at Aqueduct slit? came right back and, witli 127 pounds up, defeated Head Over Heels, 111 pounds, in the Great American Stakes, at live-eighths, in such fast time as ."8. She only won by a nose, but that, was enough. Ralco, 112 pounds, was a bad third. Up to this point her record was truly magniticent. She was beaten in her subsequent three races, but ran a good second to Panoply in the Clover Stakes, giving her seventeen pounds. She was a star this year and should be the same next year. Aside from her. Mr. Clark raced a real Disappointment in Dunboyne, a lucky winner of a big stake race in Polka Dot. and -an exceedingly fast colt in Lion dOr, one that may be a great sprinter in 1920.
