MADDEN SELLS STALLION ORMONDALE j LEXINGTON, Ky., December 27. John E. Madden has sold to Messrs. Moufort and B. B. Jones, Oklahoma oil magnates and sportsmen, for whom "Snapper" Garrison is training a string of .racers, an interest in the stallion Ormondale, son of Ormonde, and sire of Purchase; Neddam, Tetley and cithers. It is stated that the Messrs. Jones contemplate the purchase of a farm in the Blue Grass State and that they intend to" breed the horses they are to race in the future. Ormondale will remain at, Hamburg Place for the season of 1520. This deal has a tendency to confirm the expressed determination of Madden to retire as a breeder of thoroughbreds. Edward Cebrian of California has decided to send Von Tromp and Troutbeck and twenty mares to Kentuckv to be quartered at John S. Barbees Slen Helen Stud near Lexington. Troutbeck is coming from Kuglaud. the others from California. Major John T. Sallee, secretary of the army remount association, is in Kentucky for the holidays.
