STEVE came around the leaders when making the turn for home and, racing into an easy lead, won going away. HOT FOOT set the early pace and came again and outstayed MAJOR FISK. The latter raced into the lead and tired in the last eighth. VAIN CHICK bolted to the outside on the far turn. DIRECTOR JAMES ran well. Scratched 15185 Fastep, 103. KEY MAR was sharply cut off at the three-eighths post, but for which he would have won. BUNICE set a fast pace, but tired after going a half. JAMES G. and SHIRO finished close up. DON THRUSH tired after setting a fast pace for the first mile. CORYDON was always outpaced.
