MOST SATISFACTORY SALE Bidding Uniform and Better Prices Realized at Thursdays Auction. . i Thirty-five Yearlings Bring 0,- 200 Top Price Paid for a Sweep Colt. - i SARATOGA, N. Y.. August 13. Good looking youngsters, tho progeny of popular and winning sires, including Sweep. Ballot, Star Shoot, Hen Brush, Itrummel and His Majesty and comprising consignments from G. A. Cochrans Runnymede Farm, J. S. Bnrbees Glen Helen Stud, J. T. Gwath-mey. Stone and Rucker and W. C. Goodloe, were responsible for improved prices realized for the yearlings, that went under the hammer Thursday night at the. Fasig-Tipton mart. Thirty-five colts and fillies went for an aggregate of 1920.sh0,200, an average of $.1,720. The star of the sale, in tho matter of price, was The Sweep Iridescence colt in the J. S. Barbeo consignment. He commanded keen attention from numerous bidders, but ultimately became the property of S. C. Hildreth at his bid of ,000. The seven other youngsters in the Barboe lot brought his aggregate to 7,150, an average of ,143.75 per head. This, however, was eclipsed by the three youngsters which comprised W. C. Goodloes consignment. They sold for a total of 1,500, an average of ,833.33. In this lot the highest price was paid for the Ballot Shuck H. colt, which went for ,000 anil became the property of WcRrtCoe; for-whomVrHTKaiTicK2wnKbirtr ding, The Sweep Biscayno colt in the same lot went to G. W. Loft, of the New York State Racing Commission, on his bid of ,7C0. The five head offered by Stone and Rucker were disposed of for an aggregate of ,400, an average of ,880. The Sweep Marinosan colt was the most fancied of this consignment, and went to Carr and Piatt for ,100. The eight head of the Ruunymede offering yielded 0,300, an average of S1.2S7.22. The filly by His Majesty Adriana was the star of the lot and brought ,100. which was the top price for any filly in the sale.
