MILKMAID followed the leaders under restraint in tlie early running, then took the lead at her riders leisure and won easing up. .GLORIA FRANCE began slowly, but moved up gradually on tho extreme outside and finished with a .rush. BED RED ROSE was a forward contender and closed up gamely after entering the homestretch, but tired in the last sixteenth. ARETHUSA ran a game race. IMA FRANK tired. FRUIT CAKE set a fast pace to tlie stretch ahd fell back. IWIN began flatfooted and closed a big gup. VALSPAR prominent from tb,e start, was forced extremely wide when, entering the Jionie- stretch, but overcame the Interference and, passing the leader, won Ridden out and pulled up- lame. JAMES A. SHERIDAN displayed excellent speed in piicemaking in the final drive. SURF- Wis poorly ridden and almost fell several times, hut finished gamely and outstayed KING TERRY. MORNING FACE Saved ground on the turns and finished fast and gamely, but could not overhaul the winner. THE ALLY raced in close pursuit of FRIZ-LET in the early running and took the lead, but tired in the final drive. ALCATRAZ was hard ridden all the way. FR1ZLET set a groat pace and tired badly in the last eighth. MUSTY had no mishaps. TIDINGS was forced back when INTRIGANTE fell.
