Laurel stakes entries close today Entries to the fall fixtures to ,be run at Laurel Park during the October meeting close today. They include the Annapolis Handicap of 0,000 added, for three-year-olds and over at one mile and a half; the Maryland Handicap of 0,000 added, for three-year-olds at a mile and a quarter; the Laurel Stakes of 0,000 added, for all ages at one mile; the National Stakes of ,000 added, for two-year-olds at three-quarters of a mile; the Capital Handicap of ,000 added, for three-year-olds and over at three-quarters of a mile; the Manor Handicap of ,000 added, for two-year-olds sit one mile, together with three steeplechase events, two of ,000 added each, the other of ?3,000 added. In addition to the 5,000 in added money to these stake events, the overnight handicaps and purse races will compare favorably with those offered by the other Maryland racing organizations.
