FUTURITY ON SEPTEMBER 11 Fall Program at Belmont Park" Promises Great Racing Lawrence Realization September 4. NEW YORK, N. Y., August 25. The Futurity, one of the most famous of American races, will be run at Belmont Park on Saturday. September 11. When the noted Coney Island Jockey Club passed out of existence the Futurity was transferred to the Westchester Racing Association and lias now - become one of the great features of its fall meeting at Belmont Park. Another almost equally famous race that was handed down to the Westchester Racing Association was the Lawrence Realization Stakes, and it will be run this year on Saturday, September 4. It is almost certain that Man o War will be a starter in the latter fixture, which means that metropolitan racegoers by the thousands will journey to Belmont Pars to welcome the return of the champion after his wonderful performances at Saratoga. The program book for the fall meeting at Belmont Park has just been issued. It holds out the promise of great racing, with a majority of the best .horses in the country participating. The meeting begins on September 2 and continues until September 15. The Tomboy Handicap, for two-year-olds, ,500 added, at five and a half furlongs, and the Manhattan Handicap. ,500 added, for all ages, at one mile, will be the attractions opening daj, Thursday, September 2. The Lawrence Realization Stakes. ,000 added, for three-year-olds, one mile and five-eighths, and the Nursery Stakes, ,500 added, for two-year-olds, three-quarters of a mile, will be run Saturday, September 4. During the week of September C there will lie run the Fall Highweight Handicap, for all ages, on Monday; the Mincola, for two-year-olds, Wednesday; the Jerome Handicap, for three-year-olds, Thursday. On Saturday, September 11, comes the Futurity, with a guaranteed value of 0,000; the Jockey Club Stages, ,000, for three-year-olds and over, at one mile and a .half, and the Corinthian Steeple-.; krttftH-vandnilliaandA.ft;- halffca-.roa-jdd During the closing half weclc the Nassau Selling Stakes, for three-year-olds alid over, will be run Monday, September 13; the Champagne, ,000 added, for two-year-olds, seven-eighths of a mile, Tuesday, and the feature of Wednesday, closing day, will be the newly established stakes, known as the Autumn Gold Cup. The Autumn Gold Cup Handicap, like the Jockey Club Stakes, carries an added value of ,000. It is at two miles, the longest distance race on The Jockey Club circuit. In it Mr. Vosburgh will give his estimate of the staying qualities of the best thoroughbreds, and it will be interesting to note how he compares Man o War and Sir Barton. Other fine material in this prize are Exterminator, Boniface, Upset, Wildair, Fair Gain, Gladiator, Audacious, Mad Hatter and Cleopatra.
