EARLIER AND LESS FAMOUS MAN 0 WAR Few persons interested in American racing and the thoroughbred remember another Man o AVar, which raced over the Metropolitan and other Eastern tracks in the years 1901 and 1902. There was another Man o AVar, however, which was of rather the ordinary kind, of a thoroughbred. He was by Ben Strome Maria D., and was brought to the races by H. T.. Griffin. He won twice in 1901 as a two-year-old. In his three-year-old form he raced in the colors of O. L. Richards and won twice in 1902. He started about thirty times during his racing career and was mostly found entered in selling or allowance affairs.
