SIRE CESARI0N DEAD IN5 AUSTRALIA The American sire Cesarion is reported to have died at his owners place on the Hunter River in Australia. Cesarion was foaled in 1892, so that to American time he was 28 years old. He was shipped from America to Australia in 1911, and in his own country had a phenomenal record as a sire of two-year-olds; in fact, he held a worlds reeorcl for the years 1909-10-11. the number of his juvenile winners in that period being fifty-two. In 1912 Cesarion was offered by auction in Syd ney by Messrs. II. Chisholm and Co.. when Mr. I. II. Wheatcroft offered practically the whole of his American-bred horses to Australian buyers, consisting of 150 thoroughbreds from his St. James Stud. Cesarion was purchased by John Hart of Bolwarra River, Hunter River; but as he was in his twentieth year then, .his Australian stock never reached the class of those he left behind in America. On A. R. C. courses, however, he had two absolute champions Inst year In the fillies Cesarion Lady and Precious Dust. Cesarion was by Faustus En-piirsr Lizzie, from Cleopatra, by Rosicruciun The Sphynx, by Newminster Madame, Stodare, by Sleight of Hand.
