MAN 0 WAR TO RACE NO MORE LATONIA. Ky., October. 15. Any special races contemplated with a view to having Man o War as the central figure must be abandoned, for owner Samuel D. Riddle sent positive announcement here this morning that the great colt had terminated his racing and would be sent into early retirement. Mr. Riddle also took occasion to .thank the management here for their generous offer of a ?50,CO0 race fpr, Man o war to compete in. Thoae who were, at Kenilworth Park to witness the race between Man War and Sir Barton state that much pressure was brought to bear on Mr. Riddle to consent to send his great colt to England to start in tle Ascot Gold Cup, but -lie turned a deaf ear to all importunities for an announcement of this sort ana continued steadfast in his decision for Man o War to Up ho more racing.
