Davis has retired from racing the good steeplechaser Brooks and the horse has been sent to Mr R, Stewart, In the Green Spring Valley, where he will be used as a hunter. Brooks has gone Into retirement a sound horse, but Mr. Davis I thought that he had done his share as a racer and would not permit his trainer, Matt Brady, to send him to the post again. .
