Won driving; second and third the same. HIGH GEAR began somewhat slowly, but gained steadily and, under hard, riding, wore GROUND-SWELL down in the last sixteenth and won drawing clear. The latter was away fast and set a fast early pace, but tired near the end. MISSED THE TIME was well up all the way. BROTHERLY LOVE began slowly and had to race wide. HARRY BURGOYNE ran a good race. Won easily; second and third driving. BROWN CHECK, running as if much the best, raced into the lead with a rush after going the first eighth and, after tiring a bit in the stretch, won cased up. WILLOW TREE came with a great rush on the stretch turn and outstayed DARIv FRIAR in the final drive. The latter made up ground and finished well. MONTILLO ran -well. MOLINERO tired. The latter was not prepared at tne start and came wide in the last three-eighths, but closed u big gap and probably was best. WENONAH" also closed a gap and finished gamely. CAPTAIN BURNS set a good pace, but tired in the last sixteenth. FAUX-COL quit. KIMPALONG saved ground on the turn and outstayed WAR SPIRIT for second place. The latter ran well, but lost ground by a wide turn when entering the stretch. WICKFORD tired after setting the pace to the stretch. KING FISHER ran poorly.
