SIX IN 1921 EPSOM DERBY Whitney, Macomber, Hildreth and Rosseter Have Entries for English Classic. Of the one hundred au-.l fifty-one colts and fillies left in the Epsom Derby, to be run June 1, 1021, only six of the fourteen American nominations for the race are still eligible for the English three-year-old classic. The six are: H. P. Whitneys, b. c. Moody, by Broomstick Contrary, by Hamburg. II. P. Whitneys ch. c. AVellfinder, by Broomstick Wbnder, by Disguise. A. K. Macombers. br. c. The Bohemian, by Jim Gaffucy Kittenish, by Roquelaire. S. C. Hildreths ch. c. Grey Lag, by Star Shcot Miss Minnie, by Meddler. J. H. Rosseters b. c. Montalvo, by Friar Rock j Catherine Carson, by Ben Strome. J. H. Rosseters br. c. Merchant Marine, by Friar Rock Dorothy Gray, by Hamburg. There were 347 entrants to the 1921 Epsom Derby, which closed Novcmeber 4, 1919. Of these, eight were declared out last March for the 5 payment. The six Americans left in incur a half forfeit penality of 25 and for 50 can start in the race, which is for entire colts and fillies at one and a half miles, colts to carry 126 pounds arid fillies 121 pounds. Among the nine Americans declared last March were Mr. Whitneys nominations. Toss Up, Broom-spun, Twopair, Greenland and Sky Blue, and John E. Maddens Lampus and Santa Claus. ft ;
