OMAR KHAYYAM RELATIVE FOR SALE Quite a mild sensation in English racing circles is the announcement that Mr. Watkin Williams will sell by auction at the Newmarket December sales the whole of his horses in training as well as his mares and foals. It was only last year that Mr. Watkin Williams, who is associated witli Cardiff shipping circles, came into the bloodstock market when in July he ! gave .7,500 for the Chester Cup winner Tom Pepper, who unfortunately died ten weeks later, before he carried his new owners colors. At the Doucaster sales Mr. Williams bought two yearlings from Sir John Robinsons stud. They were successive lots and cost 1920.sh5,500. They were Syrian Prince, by Tho Tetrach Lisma, by Persimmon, the dam of Omar Khayyam, and Nymphida, by The Tetrarch Oenone, by St. Serf, the dam of I African Star. 1 These animals are included amongst those which will be slold, as is Holbeach, one of the Cesare-, witch favorites, over whom a tremendous lot of I money was lost. All Mr. Watkin Williams cxpen-sive purchases at the last sales will again be in the ring on Friday, December 10. Among these will be Sweet Colleen, Parisian Diamond, Marechal Neil, Gilded Spurs, Bristol .Channel and St. Eloi.
