Won easily; second and third driving. IRISH ABBESS took the lead at once and, making the pace fast, easily won all the way. TRANTULA saved ground on the stretch turn and outgamed P. T. HARD GUESS set the pace gamely from the start and, after being headed briefly, took the lead again and won doing his best. DR. CHARLES WELLS lost some ground when pinched off at the head of the stretch, but was coining again at the end. DUC DE MORNY began slowly, but saved ground oh the stretch turn and raced into the lead, then tired slightly in the final drive. WYOMING was outpaced in the early running, but worked his way up 011 the turn out of the backstretch and lost some ground on the stretch turn, then came fast and won ridden out. WOOD VIOLET finished with a rush and outgamed TOM McTAGGART at the end. The latter tired in the stretch after having raced CHASSEUR into defeat. SANDY BEAL was crowded slightly when coining to the stretch turn and was coming fast at the end. CLEAN GONE closed a gap trom a slow beginning. SOLID ROCK, outrun early, closed a big gap iu the stretch and just nosed ORENZO out in the last" stride. The latter raced prominently, but Avas tiring at the end. FAVOUR set a good pace and was going well when she was fouled in the stretch and knocked completely ojit of the running.
