ANOTHER HAMILTON TRACK PROBABLE HAMILTON, Ont., November 18. That Montreal interests, for whom Gene Elrod is acting! will discover the acquisition of the charter of the Went-worth Driving and Athletic Association; to be a tough assignment was pointed out here today. Eighty shares of stock in this association are held, the constitution stipulating that no member can hold more than one share. The charter has not been exercised since 1910, when a harness meeting was conducted at Ancaster. T. J. Stewart, president of the association, claims that the charter is for sale, at the companys price, but he declines to state what this price is. Difficulty in disposing of the charter is aggravated by the fact that many of the shareholders, interested in the sport for sports sake, do not like to see the charter pass into the hands of outsiders. If Hamilton is to have another race track it will likely be situated on the highway, near Burlington.
