It is a bay colt by Zeus Edna Collins, by The Commoner. Miss Ronald, the dam of Minto II.. which was. found and bought in the South of France by an agent, is at the Cobbham Stud, where she is to be bred to Sundridge, Minto II.s sire. Sister Susie, the Armonia Stables mare which was bred to Blazeaway last spring, is in training at Oriental Park and showing her old speed despite the fact tha she is in foal. The speedy High Cost is being prepared for a winter campaign at New Orleans and is taking his work at the Fair Grounds in a manner that suggests he will be in fine fettle when the season opens there. Mr. Macomber has disposed of Tchad and Kingdom to his compatriots W. T: Wilkinson. Tchad may be remembered as last years French Derby winner for W. K. Vanderbilt. He was a good colt, by Negofol Toia, by Railleur. The death has occurred of the .French stallion Tagliamcnto, which was born in 1903 and was retired to the stud six years later. He sired some successful horses, notably Oued, Setauket, Przemysl, Ourcq aud was by Champaubert The Lark. S. T. Tolon has sold his interest in the Cuban Armonia Stable to his partner, Antillo Fernandez. The stables Sister Susie, a fast mare in foal to Blazeaway, is training at Oriental Park. So is old Riverside, which won his last four races last season iu Cuba.
