LATEST NEWS FROM BLUE GRASS FARMS LEXINGTON, Ky., November 20. The fourteen-year-old chestnut stallion Mentor, by Black Stock son of Hanover Mannie Himyar, sister to Domino, dam Meta, by Onondaga Una, by War Dance, has joined the United States Remount Service at The Meadows, near this cjty, he having been purchased from Dr. William Gadsby of Kirkwood, Mo. Mentor was purchased by Dr. Gadsby from the Otto Steifel estate and Steifel got him from the estate of Louis Cella. Mode Nicol has sold the three-year-old chestnut gelding lhenolax, by Fair Play Starry Night, to Arthur White, to be shipped to Middleburg, Ya., to be trained for steeplechasing. lhenolax is regarded as one of the handsomest thoroughbreds of the day and is good enough for any show ring. Wilson the Great, the three-year-old chestnut brother to Viva America, now in the stable of Mode Nicol on Nicholasville pike, has been castrated and it is Nicols intention that he shall become a steeplechaser. E. R. Bradley has booked Melisande and Believe Me Boys to Fair Play. George B. Widener will send his Troutbeck mare lhenician to Fair Play, and the French mare Farce to Hourless. Kay Spence has booked Mile. Dazie to Hourless and Jack Joyner will send Sungold II., by Sundridge, to Fair Play. Col. R. L. Baker will leave Lexington Sunday for not Springs for a short visit, after which he will go to New Orleans for the winter. Edward Cebriau will come from his home at San Francisco to attend the sales of thoroughbreds here December 2 and 3. He has consigned Ballot Rose, Electric Light, Illusion, Isolation, Jourdain, Ruth W. and Sain Shot to the sales. The announcement that the colt, dam Dorval, which recently died of colic, was the only male weanling by Peter Pan proves to have been a misstatement. A. E. Hundley and Son have a brown weanling colt by Peter Pan Rusticoat. by Ethelbert, ut Monietta Farm near Danville. They also have a chestnut filly by Peter Pan Hollywood, by Ballot Glass Slipper. Harry Morrissey has departed for San Diego and will-take up Ms duties next Thursday as starter1 at Tijuana.
