CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Five horses, the property of Llyod Gentry, including his recent purchase Sterling, have arrived at New Orleans from Louisville. M. L. Schwartz will not retire from racing as recently announced and will retain all his horses with the possible exception of Enfilade, as Mr. Schwartz has had several offers for her from breeders and she may be retired to the stud shortly. The Due Decazes is forming a formidable stable of jumpers. In addition to those now in training ; he recently purchased from Baron Baeyens the j Irish-bred Se Souvenir, a brother to Souviens. Toi and Flying Fish; also the French-bred Mettray, a i son of Sans le Sou Montmeina. They are two-year-olds. Se Souvenir is said to be remarkably ! good looking and the real type of an Irish steeple- ! chaser. The death is announced at Maisons-Lafitte of the Frencli trainer Lucien Robert after a long 111- ness. Lucien Robert was one of the most success- j ful trainers of the day, winning a number of important -events. " These included La Grand Course I de Hales of 1902 and Le Prix dc La Haye-Jousselin with Bebe. Among the owners he trained for were Counts M. Klein and M. Lougfils, Marquis de Tri- querville, Marquis de Jean Bomaiu and Count de Cherisey.
