The Autumn Handi-c:ii at six and a half furlongs was the featture of a good program at the Bowie track today. Rain during the night, made the track soft and with a few wet spots in the stretch, however fair time was made. J. AV. Beans Jadda, favored by the start, rushed to the front at once and won all the way. Dry Moon, left flatfooted, went after his opponents rapidly, but tired in the stretch. Mock Orange got the short end of the purse. The remainder of the fluid ran as if they belonged elsewhere. 15. K. Brysons Tingling came from !ehind to win the opening race from Kings Belle and Morning Face. When Sacajawea and General Agramonte, the early pacemakers, tired. Kings Belle moved to the front, followed Tingling, and the latter proved the gamer at the end, drawing away to win by a length. Kings Belle tired slightly, but was easily second. Morning Face had no difficulty in securing third money. , The second race was- won by AV. V. Caseys American Boy and the favorite, which came from . the rear to win by three lengths. Vesuvius soon raced Toadstool into defeat and set the pace until well, down the stretch, where he gave way to the winners fast rush. Sentimental raced fast and outstayed Favour for third, money. Favour and: Toadstool," after facing prominently early, tired badly. There was excitement in plenty in the third race, when. AA T. Grives stumbled and threw his rider :ufter the start and went on with the field, crossing the finishing line first. Due de Morny raced Orcus into defeat at the half mile post, went to the front and fought it out gamely, just lusting to beat Sobrigade by a neck. Sobrigade, began slowly, dropped back, then came again and was racing fastest of all at the end. Dolly C. came from far back to take third money. Billy McLaughlin, the hot favorite, ran out in the stretch, losing any chance he may have had. M. J. Potters Hendrie, racing in improved form, saved many lengths by a close stretch turn in the fiftli race and drew away to win easily by a good margin. Flibbertygibbet raced forwardly and lost ground by swinging wide, but outstayed Pastoral Swain for second place. The latter moved up rapidly in the back stretch to save the short end of the purse. Wur Cry, the favorite, was forced to the outside by Summer Sigh and thereby being practically eliminated Long shot backers had another inning in the sixth race, when F. Musantes Joan of Arc paying 1.00 for each ticket, was returned the winner. Rune-craft, also at remunerative odds, lasted to take second place by a neck from Jack Beeves, which was easily third. B. Bondings Thistle Queen won the last race from Courting Colors, with Hope third. The winner was well up all the way and got up in time to win by a length. Courting Colors raced in improved form and took second place by a head from Hope, which tired in the closing strides. The last shipment to Cuba under the care of Dr. Ashe will leave December 1.
