WESTERNER BUYS BE FRANK George Fuller of San Francisco Secures Crack Gelding for Tijuana Racing. ? BALTIMORE, Md., November 23. Be Frank, the son of Sir John Johnson and Frankness, whlcli won the Latonia Derby and Autumn Cup of 1919 under the colors of Cornelius Garrison of New York, will race through the coming winter at Tijuana under the silks of George Fuller of San Francisco. Mr. Fuller, a paint manufacturer of the Pacific slope, bought Be Frank yesterday at Prince George Park, Bowie, through Harry Unna, who will have charge of the gelding. Mr. Fuller bought Be Frank to the end that ho might have a first-class horse for the 20,000 Cof-froth Handicap, a race of one mile and a quarter, the Baja California and U. S. Grant Handicaps, eacli of 0,000 at one mile and an eighth and one mile and a sixteenth, and the ?5,000 Tijuana Cup at two miles, the principal races for the older division of horses to be run at Tijuana. Be Frank is a high-class race horse. Mr. Garrison liought him as a yearling and AAilliam Jennings of Baltimore .developed him and trained, him up to last August, when Mr. Garrison sold him to Max Hirscii. AVlien he won the Latouia Derby a year ago last June Be Frank defeated Omond, Regalo and Aul-canite. AVhcn he won the La ton la Cup a year ago in October lie defeated the redoubtable Extermiuator, which had won the Kentucky Derby and the Latouia Cup of 1918, and the Saratoga Cup of 1919. The son of Sir John Johnson is a capital performer over a long distance of ground and also lias a fine turn of early speed. At Latouia last spring he ran a mile and an eighth in front of Peace Pennant, Pastoureau and Damask in 1:50, the first mile in 1:38 flat. At Pimlico a week ago Friday he galloped one mile and an eighth in 1:51 in front of Dr. Clark, Belario and Thunderstorm.
