DELAY IN THE FRIAR ROCK CASE LOriSVlLLli Ky March 0 The stallion Friar Rock jointly oynod by Tohn K Madden and T II Itossetcr may not reach Kentucky this spring al ¬ though the Now York Supreme Court decided the recent injunction case in Mr Maddens favor and appointed a receiver to go to California ahd bring the horse to Kentucky and deliver him to Mr j Madden at Hamburg Place Mr Rossoter took an appeal to the Court of Appeals and tho case will not be argued until April By the time a decision can be rendered the brooding season will be over j and even if it is favorable to Mr Madden he will lose the services of th horse for this year As a stud fee of 2500 wus agreed on before this litigation iKgan there promises to be a damage suit for at least 200000 Friar Rock is a sensational young stallion and it is difficult to estimate his value Madden and Rosscter have refused an offer of SlTiOOflO for him and Mr Madden only recently insured his onehalf interest for 12rM 12rMSpeaking Speaking of tlie Friar Rocks there are five of them entered in the Kentucky Derby Mr Uos seter has Montnlvn which is also in the Epsom Derby and Merchant Marino The Quincy Stable has Sunny Jim Commander Ross has Registrar and Mr Sinclair has Inchcape
