N Y RACING COMMISSION REPORT REPORTALBANY ALBANY N Yt March 2S The annual report of the State Racing Commission was submitted o the Legislature last Friday It shows that prizes for racing during the past year reached a record and amounted to SBftl more than in lOlit The prizes aggregated in 1J 20 about XI 715000 715000The The report signed by James AV Wads worth Sr Henry F Sinclair and George W Loft reviews in detail the noncfifs of racing in improving the breed of horses horsesIn In reviewing the benefits of racing in improving horses the report tells of the lint mounts furnished to the New York State Constabulary and the Tinted States Cavalry from the racing stallions of the Jockey Clubs breeding biireun which was started in llW5 The excellent results attained hy tin Genctee Valley Illcoders Association and othsr or ¬ ganizations of stock farmers from using thorough ¬ bred stullions also are recounted The Jockey Club now has seventeen stallions in this State which in 1020 wen mated to 3H mares It also has nine stallions in Maryland six in Pennsylvania and one in Virginia They Include such horses as Fashion Plate Otis Marse Henry Oynnim and Pharaoh
